Job Title: Sales and Digital Marketing Executive.

Reports to: General Manager and Directors

Duty Station: Kampala (with frequent travels to the Resort home)

Job Description.

General Purpose

Under the direct supervision of the General Manager and overall supervision by the Directors, the Sales andDigital Marketing Executive is responsible for managing marketing, advertising and promotional stuff and activities. The Sales and Digital Marketing Executive will also be responsible for taking steps to measure, enhance and enrich the position and image of La Fang Eco Resort through various goals and objectives. The holder of this position is expected to deliver friendly and efficient service, and create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all clients ensuring that the Resort operates efficiently and profitably.

Qualifications and Experience

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, Leisure and Hospitality Management or a related field. 

Experience:

  • At least 3 years of proven experience in Sales and Marketing particularly in the hospitality industry.
  • Experience with eco-tourism or environmentally sustainable businesses is highly desirable
  • Must understand the midrange and luxury market of travel

Key Responsibilities:

Marketing Strategy and implementation:

Advise management on comprehensive marketing plans and strategies to promote La Fang Eco Resort.

Create and manage content for the resort’s website, social media platforms, email newsletters, and other marketing channels.

Plan and implement advertising campaigns, both organically and inorganic, to attract target audiences.

Sourcing new markets to sale to according to the resort’s niche.

Develop strategic plans for operational activities. Implement and manage operational plans.

Develop the marketing strategy for La Fang Eco Resort in line with the establishment objectives.

Co-ordinate marketing campaigns with sales activities.

Create and publish all marketing material in line with marketing plans.

Plan and implement promotional campaigns.

Overall responsibility for brand management and corporate identity

Prepare online and print marketing campaigns

Maintain effective internal communications to ensure that all relevant functions are kept informed of marketing objectives.

Analyze potential strategic partner relationships for marketing.

Oversee creation and delivery of press releases, advertisements, and other marketing materials.

Ensure brand messages are consistent

Develop and execute new concepts, business models, channels and partners to position business as innovator and leader.

Sales and Revenue Generation:

Identify and pursue new sales opportunities and partnerships with travel agencies, corporate clients and other stakeholders.

Manage the sales process from lead generation to closing deals, ensuring a high conversion rate.

Develop and maintain relationships with existing clients to encourage repeat business and referrals.

Brand Management:

Ensure the Resort’s branding is consistent across all marketing materials and communications.

Develop promotional materials, including the resort gallery book, brochures, flyers, and digital content, that highlight the resort’s unique co-friendly features.

Market Research and Analysis:

Conduct market research to identify trends, customer preferences, and competitive landscape.

Analyze the performance of marketing campaigns and adjust strategies as needed to improve results.

Monitor online reviews and feedback to gauge customer satisfaction and address any issues.

Events Planning and Coordination:

Plan and coordinate events, workshops, and activities that promote the resort’s eco-friendly initiatives and attract clients.

Reports:

Prepare regular reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually) on marketing and sales activities, including performance metrics and RIO (Return On Investment).

Skills:

Strong understanding of marketing principles, including digital marketing, social media marketing, and content creation.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in using marketing tools and platforms such as SEO, SEM, email marketing, CRM software, and social media management tools.

Analytical skills to assess market trends, customer preferences, and campaign performance.

Creative thinking to develop engaging marketing campaigns and promotional materials.

Negotiation skills to establish partnerships and close sales deals.

Ability to negotiate with agents, tourism wholesale buyers and tour operators to crack deals.
